The ‘Big Idea’ behind uTANGO is that many consumers need help saving for their future and uTANGO allows Members to leverage their existing daily spending to be rewarded in an extraordinary way for their long-term loyalty and personal success! After all, it costs a lot to live so why not leverage the "cost of living" to your benefit by allowing this spending to drive extraordinary cash rewards!
The catch? Members must eventually marry, stay loyal to uTANGO merchants and stay married in order to collect their LifeStage Cash Rewards. uTANGO is about properly rewarding extraordinary success and through the uTANGO LifeStage Rewards Program Members will find a place to shop, make wedding plans, seek expert advice on finances, health, parenting, relationships and earn rewards for life!
It's Easy, It's Simple and It Pays!
Simply by purchasing the products and services Members want and need from participating brand name Merchants, uTANGO allows qualified Members to accrue anywhere from $8,333 to $33,000 annually towards major LifeStage Cash Rewards. In addition, Members will receive $50-$800 in Annual Cash Rewards for achieving annual Points (Pts) targets.
Using the uTANGO Visa Credit Card, members can accelerate Point earnings to receive Annual Cash Rewards and over $1 Million in LifeStage Rewards. Card holders will earn an extra two (2) Points per dollar spent online or offline at over 300 program merchants and one (1) Point per dollar spent anywhere Visa is accepted.
We recognize the value of long-term loyalty and we reward it with extraordinary cash rewards! uTANGO is only available to Singles, Engaged and recently Married couples (married less than three years).
- If you are already Married (or get Married after you join), you are then eligible to Select either the $250,000, $500,000 or $1 Million LifeStage Rewards Plan. Once a LifeStage Rewards Plan has been Activated you will receive an Activation Bonus of $50-$200. Married Members must then earn enough Points each year and remain married to stay qualified for their LifeStage Reward Plan payouts at 10 years, 20 years and 30 years.
- Singles and Engaged couples can join uTANGO and shop with uTANGO merchants to start building their Points account balance for the future! Each year Single and Engaged Members can earn $50 in earn Annual Cash Rewards for each 30,000 Points earned, with a maximum of $200. Once married you can Select a LifeStage Rewards Plan and apply ALL of their accrued Points towards their selected plan and "pre-load" your progress towards future LifeStage Cash Rewards - it's never too early to start TANGOing!
In fact, the earlier you start "TANGOing" the better. Since uTANGO is a long-term points accrual rewards program, the more Points a Member accrues prior to selecting a LifeStage Rewards Plan the easier it becomes to hit their 10, 20 and 30 year Reward payouts.

Janet and Brad's Points Activity Timeline
2006: Janet joins uTANGO as a Single Member and starts building her accrued Points balance and earning annual Anniversary Rewards.
2008: Janet and Brad get engaged. By planning their wedding through uTANGO, they build up their Points balance and earn Anniversary Rewards along the way.
2011: Janet and Brad get married. Together they select the $250,000 LifeStage Reward Plan. Brad’s uTANGO account containing 60,000 Pts is merged with Janet’s existing balance. Together they start their marriage with 250,000 Pts, which immediately Activates their Plan, pays them a $50 Activation Bonus and is more than enough Points to place them well ahead of their LifeStage Rewards Plan Points target for the next 7 years!
2019: Janet and Brad’s Points balance falls below their LifeStage Rewards Plan accrued Points target. This puts them at risk for deactivation if they remain below the target for two (2) consecutive years.
2020: Janet and Brad are back on target.
2021: Janet and Brad qualify and receive their Plan Year 10 Reward: $2,500.
2024: Janet and Brad’s accrued Points balance falls below cumulative target, putting their account at risk for deactivation.
2031: Janet and Brad qualify and receive their Plan Year 20 Reward: $25,000.
2041: Janet and Brad qualify and receive Plan Year 30 Reward: $250,000.
A little More Detail on How Janet and Brad TANGO for their Future!
When Janet was Single, she was not yet eligible to select an LifeStage Rewards Plan, but she did receive annual Anniversary Rewards when she accrued enough Points in any given year. And the Points she did accrue along the way were building up her starting balance for her LifeStage Rewards Plan once she got married.
Along the way Janet meets Brad who is also a uTANGO Member and they eventually get engaged. Janet then changes her account status in MyAccount to Engaged Member, establishes a Planned Marriage Date (PMD) and added Brad to her account. Brad still maintains his own existing account until they are officially married.
With the average wedding in the United States costs approximately $25,000, Brad and Janet decided to leverage this spending through uTANGO by planning their honeymoon with Expedia.com, buying their wedding ring from Zales.com along with many other wedding planning expenses to accrue an extraordinary amount of Points prior to getting married and selecting their LifeStage Rewards Plan.
They also used the uTANGO Guest Shopping program to invite their friends and family to shop through uTANGO for their benefit. This was easy as Janet's mom clicked through on Janet's Guest Shopping link and was instantly recognized on uTANGO as Guest of Janet & Brad. Janet's mom clicked through to Blue Nile and bought all of the bridesmaids commemorative bracelets. And Janet's account automatically earned the Points from the Guest purchase.
Once married, Janet and Brad changed their status to Married Member, provided their Original Marriage Date (OMD) and then selected the $250,000 LifeStage Rewards Plan. They have an Evaluation Period to switch between any of the plans as many times as they like. If they have accrued enough Points in their account to meet the minimum first year Points requirement, their LifeStage Rewards Plan will automatically Activate on their next Anniversary Date and they will receive a $50 Activation Bonus. If they were still below the first year target, they could take up to 24 months* to evaluate their LifeStage Rewards Plan and can Lock it once they are comfortable the LifeStage Rewards Plan they've selected is the right one for their budget.

LifeStage Cash Rewards are paid to qualifying Married Members in Good Standing at Plan Year 10, 20 & 30. For Married Members, uTANGO has developed three levels of LifeStage Rewards Plans to ensure there is one that fits just right.

How is the Estimated Annual Spend Calculated?
- uTANGO estimates if a Member averages six (6) Points (6 Pts) per $1.00 spent on their purchases with uTANGO Merchants they would need to spend approximately:
- $5,000 to earn 30,000 Pts a year in the $250,000 LifeStage Rewards Plan,
- $10,000 to earn 60,000 Pts a year in the $500,000 LifeStage Rewards Plan and
- $20,000 to earn 120,000 Pts a year in the $1,000,000 LifeStage Rewards Plan.
- Members can significantly reduce their direct out of pocket spending by:
- Averaging more than 6 Pts per $1.00 spent and/or
- By using Guest Shopping to have Friends and Family spending count for the Members' benefit.
LifeStage Rewards Plan - Points (Pts) Targets
- The Points (Pts) Target represents the minimum Points required to remain in Good Standing for a selected LifeStage Rewards Plan.
- Married Members that have Activated an LifeStage Rewards Plan are required to hit minimum Points (Pts) thresholds with Program Merchants in order to qualify for Annual Rewards and LifeStage Rewards.
- LifeStage Rewards Plans will Activate once a Member has achieved their Plan Year 1 Points (Pts) Target. The Activation Bonus will be paid at the end of Plany Year 1.
