Marketing Analyst

The Marketing Analyst is a critical role for uTANGO to understand our member base and make the business scale. We have built a data-driven environment where virtually every aspect of the site is instrumented. Now we need your analytical expertise to extract insights, create consumer incentives, and optimize our business model and cash flow. This role is a great opportunity for an analyst to have a meaningful contribution to a data-driven company built around the best-in-class lessons learned directly from time at Amazon.com and other leading-edge companies.

Core Job Responsibilities:
- Translate business questions and objectives into analytical queries. Write and maintain SQL queries to extract and analyze information from relational databases
- Data mining and analysis for the performance and profitability of our affiliate marketing efforts. Support marketing experiments to optimize campaign performance across various channels, including on-site, email, direct mail, partner channels, and mobile devices
- Segment and analyze the customer base to identify and document appropriate consumer incentives to drive registration, shopping conversion, and repeat behavior
- Generate and publish weekly/monthly metrics from production tables for managing the business. Define and instrument new metrics to improve the visibility and action ability of the key drivers of our business
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to validate business assumptions, prioritize technical features and support ongoing financing rounds. Demonstrate the correlation of feature launches to improvements in free cash flow
- Active involvement in the evolution of the technical platform to ensure that the schema and functionality is properly instrumented for future analyses
- Assist in transaction processing and settlement reconciliation. Investigate and resolve problem transactions to ensure that uTANGO and our customers are properly compensated for their transactions
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in statistics, econometrics, business, or equivalent work experience
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and familiarity with SQL queries is required
- Strong candidates will have at least 1-2 years analytical experience in Affiliate Marketing, Loyalty Marketing, or the Airlines or Credit Card industries
- Operational Excellence/Six Sigma skills are a plus

Graphic Designer - Internet
This is a FULL-TIME PERMANENT POSITION in the Seattle area. No contract or freelance applicants please.
Do you have the design chops to deliver eye-catching graphics at Internet speed? Are you ready to take your skills and thinking to the next level? uTANGO, is an up and coming Seattle-based loyalty marketing company that is looking for an energetic, passionate designer to complement our team.
As a uTANGO designer, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with the marketing and product development teams to create compelling website enhancements, advertisements, online and offline marketing materials that drive member engagement, utilization and acquisition. You should not only be well-versed in design and usability concepts, but bring a creative passion and the ability to look at things from a fresh perspective. We value not only the right-brain, but the left. So remember that critical thinking and an understanding of the software development process and tools are equally important.
Core Job Responsibilities:
- As part of the development team, support the production of illustrative and photographic content for Internet sites, direct marketing emails and some print materials.
- Work with the marketing and product teams to create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles, usability, and esthetic design concepts.
- Provide input on designs and materials across all mediums - online, print, interactive
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in graphic arts or related field, plus at least two years of professional experience, or equivalent work experience
- Two plus years of Internet site and email design experience
- Advanced knowledge of Photoshop CS3 and Illustrator CS3 is required
- Strong candidates will have a solid understanding of web production and software development processes
- Flash design/development skills are a big plus
- Experience creating layouts in Dreamweaver a plus
- HTML/XML and web programming skills are a plus

- Works proactively to effectively manage and create smooth work flow for the company
- Assists CEO with daily operations and management of tasks as assigned
- Handles confidential and time sensitive material regularly and with the highest level of professionalism and discretion
- Provides support in functional areas of human resources, which includes payroll, new employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, compensation management, and benefits administration
- Manages member care to accurately respond and resolve issues in an effective and timely matter

Qualifications:
