Begin by deciding which room either needs the redecoration most (such as a leaky bathroom) or which room you spend the most time in (such as the living room or the bedroom). Assess what will need to change -- from carpeting to wall paint to fixtures. Make a reasonable budget for each job; there are many home decorating stores and services now that can help.
