Merchant Exceptions

Virtually every item purchased directly through an offer on uTANGO qualifies for Points.

TANGO TIP: In order to earn Points on your purchases, you must start your shopping through uTANGO.com. If you choose to save your purchases to a shopping cart, don’t forget that you must return to that merchant through uTANGO.com immediately before booking in order to receive Points for your purchase.

Please be aware that there are some general exceptions:

• In most cases, purchases made offline or by telephone are not eligible for Points.
• Purchases made online but picked up at the merchant store do not qualify for Points unless specifically noted.
• Points are not awards on taxes, shipping, gift wrapping, or the part of a purchase made with store credits, coupons or gift certificates.
• Use of coupon codes not found on the uTANGO site may disqualify you from earning Points on a specific purchase.
• We cannot award Points for gift card or gift certificate purchases unless specifically noted. (E.g.: GiftCertificates.com and SpaFinder gift certificate purchases earn Points.)
• Prescription medication purchases are never eligible for Points.
• Returning an item will result in a reversal of your Points earnings.
• Most uTANGO Merchants handle merchandize exchanges by canceling the old order and then making a new order. Upon exchange, the Points earnings are reversed but new Points are not awarded as the new order was made directly with the merchant and not through uTANGO. (This policy is set by the Merchants- not by uTANGO.)

We will do our best to list all Merchant Exceptions on uTANGO; however, they are subject to change at any time—based on policies set by individual Merchants.

Merchants with a * next to their name on the Merchant Directory page may not award Points for certain transactions:   

• Apple Store: You cannot earn Points on purchases of Gift Cards
• Barnes & Noble: Purchases made on "PC & Video Games" category do not earn Points
• BestBuy.com: Best Buy Gift Card purchases and any services (including but not limited to: online photo center sales, digital downloads, long distance or internet service sales) do not earn Points.
• Blue Nile: You are eligible to earn a maximum of 50,000 Points on a Blue Nile purchase. You may not receive uTANGO Points if you use a non-uTANGO coupon at checkout.
• Brookstone: Gift cards are not eligible for Points. 
• Buy.com: Points are not awarded for Cellular purchases. 
• Cabelas.com: You will not earn Points on service invoice adjustments, reorders, gift certificates, gift cards, Amazon.com products, and products listed under the Corporate Gifts portion of the website.
• CircuitCity: You cannot earn Points on purchases of Music digital downloads, Circuit City Gift Cards, Car Style and Performance Parts, Wireless Phones (not including Prepaid Wireless or Wireless Accessories), or any services, including but not limited to: Direct TV installations, Home Theater installations or Home Network installations. In addition, there are certain relationships with third party sellers where visitors to the Circuit City Site make purchases from such third party sellers by linking from or through the Circuit City Site that are ineligible for Points. 
• Cooking.com: Some All Clad purchases do not earn Points. 
• Dell: You will not earn Points if you speak with a live Dell sales representative prior to placing your order or use Web certificate or Employer Purchase Plan to purchase. Refurbished goods do not earn Points. Any orders placed through the Dell Business Alliance Systems Division, State & Local Government, Federal Government, Education, Healthcare, Medium & Large Business, Emerging Business and Internet Service Provider Divisions are not eligible for Points. Please be aware that Dell is unable to track orders that are made after you click off the main Dell site. 
• DIRECTV: Points will be recieved only after Customer’s DirecTV purchase has been activated for 30 days.
• Drugstore.com: You do not earn Points on prescriptions or on Vision Direct and Beauty.com purchases from Drugstore.com.
• etoys.com: Points are not awarded on video game consoles.
• Expedia.com: Points are not awarded on sales made by telephone, through links to Hotwire, Hotels.com, Home & Abroad, Expedia Corporate Travel, or Razorgator. Points on Expedia purchases are not confirmed until after you have completed your travel. 
• GoDaddy: No Points on gift cards.
• Hallmark.com: No Points on stamps, gift boxes or gift cards.
• HallmarkFlowers.com: No Points on stamps, gift boxes or gift cards.
• Hotels.com: Points are not awarded until 35 days after you have completed your travel.
• kbtoys.com: Points are not awarded on video game consoles.
• LetsTalk: Purchases of accessories do not qualify for Points. 
• Macys: Wedding Channel purchases do not earn Points. 
• Netflix: Offer is valid to new Netflix members only. One redemption per household. Points will be awarded for a new paying member only and requires, at time of sign up, linking directly from a link on the uTANGO website. Please allow 10-12 weeks to receive your Points. Purchase or redemption of gift subscriptions is not eligible to earn Points. See http://www.netflix.com/TermsOfUse for full terms and conditions of the Netflix service.
• Office Depot: Purchases made at the Business Services Division do not earn Points. 
• Overstock.com: Travel purchases do not earn Points. 
• Payless Shoe Stores: Purchases that are picked up in-store do not earn Points.
• PetCareRX: No Points on prescription items.
• PETCO: Pet Health Insurance is paid at a lower Points rate. 
• Sears: Sears auctions, gifts cards, Lands End merchandise, and purchases made through third-party links found on the Sears site do not qualify for Points. 
• The Children’s Place: You will not earn Points on gift certificate purchases.
• Toys “R” Us: No Points earned on the purchase of stand-alone video game consoles. Points can be earned when purchasing a video game console as part of a Console Value Pack or Console Bundle.
• Verizon: You will not earn Points on installation services.
• Verizon Wireless: You will earn 25 Pts on a new cell phone activation but may earn additional Points at a lower rate based on the purchase of additional items.
• Waterford: No Points on gift cards.
